Bistro at California Culinary Arts Institute is operated by our culinary and baking students. As part of their culinary education, students are required to fulfill their externship hours after completing the four-month course curriculum by working in a fully-operational restaurant. We are open to the public Mon-Fri for lunch from 11:00am – 1:30pm. 

As part of our commitment to the community, all proceeds from Bistro are donated to charity. We donate 50 percent to Solutions for Change, a local nonprofit assisting the unhoused. The other 50 percent is donated to the San Diego Humane Society. Any tips received from customers go directly to the culinary students working in the bistro. 

On rainy days, and by request in advance, bistro customers will be seated inside the school at our chefs’ tables.

Roman Ragú with Fettuccine

Ground beef, prosciutto, tomatoes, red wine, and parmesan cheese served with homemade fettuccine. 

 

Fettuccine Alfredo

Fettuccine made with homemade pasta served with homemade alfredo sauce.
